It's post covid. The economy is tanking, there’s a high cost of living, layoffs and a recession is coming. Nothing Gen Y hasn’t seen before - except the covid part. The concept of “Lost Jen” is a play on words for the phrase ‘lost generation’, which is what millennials are. They did everything they were told and everything right, but are still getting screwed in life. Our protagonist, Jen Richards, a millennial, lives with her retired boomer dad Lenny in a one bedroom condo. They’re getting kicked out in 30 days. Both will need to find jobs again as savings are running out. Lenny bet Jen he’d get a job first. We follow Jen as she navigates this new economy, love and jobs with boomer advice from Lenny that would have worked if it was decades before.
We follow a mature black female PR graduate, named Sandra, from graduation to her first job in the very white world of PR. Unbeknownst to her, she's really accepted a personal assistant position rather than an intern or publicist assistant position. She spends one week catering to a well-known publicist in her city, which feels like 10 years of harassment to her.
The series follows friends Stacey, Emelina, Dorothy and Normandy in their grade 11 year going onto their grade 12 year as they run for and win student council in order to run the school. They do anything and everything possible to win their seats and don’t hold back when it comes to revenge. The four girls are each smart and pretty, but Emelina is the shit starter of the crew, while Normandy is more of a goodie two shoes. Stacey and Dorothy are kind of in between and are down for anything.
We follow a fictional wealthy millionaire and black business woman named Angela Dorsey in 1920s New York. Angela makes her money by owning and writing a small newspaper geared towards black women of the era, interviewing prominent black people across the country. There’s no segregation, and the whites and blacks mingle in jazz clubs across the city. Storylines will include different characters based off of real wealthy black females of the time in stories that show how they achieved their success and problems they came up against.
A middle aged customer service rep is wrongly accused of murdering his boss on his camping trip with his teenage son during a long weekend. He doesn't try to prove himself innocent, he just goes on the run.
A middle aged low class truck stop hooker gets caught in a love triangle that turns murderous.
Andrea Reinheart is an aspiring author who’s also psychic. While practicing dowsing, she telepathically connects with her Hollywood crush, Manny George, over wire clothes hangers. He’s a humanoid alien. She continuously begs him to meet her, but when she does, she realizes he’s closet murderer and she’s next.
A poker girl who deals cards for the mob during their poker games, kidnaps and tries to murder a man who tricks the mobsters out of ten grand. She ends up falling in love with her victim in the end and goes on the run. (Dark Comedy Rom Com)
